While on my recent trip to Sisseton (10gigs) and Brookings (business) I
scouted out some operating locations in EN14 and EN15 for rovermania. For
rovermania my plans are to be northbound on MN Hwy 75 in the early morning hours
(Sunday).

In EN15 I will be in the far southeast corner just NE of Madison (MN). I
found a nice spot with some SMALL elevation that has a pull out on top and that
is off the "main" road. The location is EN15xb at 45 03.662 96 01.318 .
Here is the topozone.com link to it:

One advantage of this location is that its close to MN Hwy 75 and then 40.
You can cross the river on 40 to Milan and then 40 to Willmar and Hwy 12,
all in EN25. So my route on Sunday coming out of Iowa will be Mn Hwy 75 to 40
to 12 (EN13, 14, 15, 25) which takes me over to the Winstead corner for the
end of the contest.

In EN14 the area around Lake Benton offers thousands of nice vistas due to
the ridge .... just follow the wind generators, there are hundreds of them and
they are all up along the ridge. For rover operation there is a nice site
that is immediately just off the road (MN 75) just north of Lake Benton at 44
17.087 96 17.060 or EN14ug. Here is the topozone.com link to it:

The dirt road that goes west from this spot also offers some great spots,
but the one referenced above is right off the road and is "good enough".

By the way, does anyone know who/what radar site that is SE of Lake Benton
at EN14ve (44 11.830 96 12.269) ? It sits on the ridge and has a commanding
view .... I want to buy it.

Hope this helps some of the rovers who are headed out that way.

73, Jon
