Hi Matt. My rover set-up will be a "mid-scale" affair .... not big, not
small. I will be able to run 222 and 432 separately, independently, for any
liaison communication. I am using one 2m IF rig for 902, 1296, 2304, 3456, and
5760. 222 thru 3456 will be run & gun with antennas mounted to the car, no
rotator.
222 is a good band for liaison with stations that have that band .... as you
know its often better than 2m. For stations that don't have 222, they will
have 432.
For 10GHz, I will be setting up at each stop using my current portable set-up
.... takes about 30 seconds to setup. This isn't as good as having 10GHz
ready to go on the rover rack, etc., but its what I've got .... hopefully it
doesn't rain too hard ! I'll be small on 5760, 200mW transverter mounted right
on a 13 dB horn, so that I will have to mount it to the car rack at each
stop, but that should go pretty quick.
73, Jon
