The ARRL January VHF contest results are now available on their website at
http://www.arrl.org/members-only/contests/results/2004/Jan-VHF/index.html .

A tip of the hat to the Northern Lights Radio Society for meeting our hard
fought goal of reaching the Unlimited Category. We had 51 entries.
This is the second time that the NLRS has reached this status and its due
to YOU and YOUR efforts to get on the air and to send in your scores.
Take a minute to reflect on this and how far our club has come, not just in
contest scores, but in all other areas that makes the NLRS what it is.

You will notice in both the text web report, and probably in QST when it
gets to you, that only the Mt. Airy VHF Radio Club is credited with having
attained the Unlimited Category. This is an editing oversight and it
shall not detract from our club's success. The NLRS is very proud in
our ability to assemble 51 scores from this part of the country and in our
camaraderie and expertise in helping each other along the way.

>From the Central Region, congratulations to K9MU, and KB9PJL for SOLP
efforts and N0AKC in the SOHP class.

In the Midwest Region, N0KP took first place in the SOLP category followed
by W0JT, W0EAA took the multi-unlimited, KF0Q (Larry ..... is that your
middle name Matt ?) took the portable class, W0JH took the limited-multi,
W9FZ/R took first place rover while W0AMT(KC0LBT)/R took second, and W0GHZ
beat out W0ZQ for first place in the SOHP class. Its good to see some
NLRS calls showing up in the Top Ten boxes as well, for example N0KPs #1
spot for 2304 mult's. some years ago who would have thought that this was
even possible from the frozen tundra of NLRS land.

73, W0ZQ.

PS: ...... coming soon, Rovermania !
