>From the www.w0aa.org website, a cut & paste of some of the more VHF
significant rule clarifications follows:

Q - Does FM count as a separate mode on VHF?
A - FM, SSB, and AM all count as Phone. CW and RTTY count as CW.

Q - If I plan to operate both VHF and HF, what category do I enter?
A - Separate logs should be entered for both modes. HF and VHF contacts cannot be added together in the same log.
A combined HF / VHF category is being considered for next year.

Q - If I am operating VHF mobile, what category am I in?
A - A special VHF Mobile Class is being added (on a trial basis) this year. Be sure to indicate VHF Mobile on your
log. The same procedure for signing counties, etc. as used in the mobile class should be used. If you are
operating both HF and VHF mobile, you should submit a log in both the Mobile and VHF Mobile Class.

Q - If I operate both VHF and HF, can I credit both of my logs to the same club?
 A - Yes.

Q - If I am operating in the Mobile Class, can I work stations on CW in the SSB part of the band?
A - On frequencies below 50 MHZ, CW contacts must be made in the CW band. On 50 Mhz and above, CW and Phone
contacts are allowed on the same frequencies within the bounds of good operating practice. This rule applies to
fixed, as well as mobile, operations.

 73, Jon
