Got it, As much as I can help...hopefully the
conditiona are decent. The G5RV will only be up 20
feet at the highest, and essentially positioned with
the lobes N & S due to the configuration of my lot,
but if I remember right, and from other experiences,
the low elevation of the antenna usually gives more of
an omni pattern, but decent gain. If the conditions
are as good as or better than last weekend for VHF, I
should be able to do a decent job into MN....1296 is
going to be tough, but if Conditions pick up I might
be able to plow thru the hill and get some of the
WI/MN border stations. So look for me near the 2 and
6 meter calling freqs...and we'll run the bands on SSB
and CW (EN44---Eau Claire), and pretty much anywhere
in HF. One other query....I am guessing that for HF,
I can switch bands at any time, due to the length of
the contest and possible band/mode combos. And just
for simplicity sake, I will work SSB and CW on the
same freq (unless I am in the CW subbands on
HF)...that way we are not chasing each other...since
CW is allowed everywhere.
Dave....N9TTX
