  NLRS'ers,

Thanks for the QSO's with me in EN63 last night. I wasn't sure what =
to expect, but I was very pleased with the results. And I sure =
appreciate everyone's effort to pump something other than white noise =
thru the headphones.

With very ordinary band conditions -- and 100 watts into beams at =
110' -- I worked K0NY in EN44 on 50, 144 and 432. On 144, I also worked =
W9RAY in EN44. From EN34, I worked KA0ZYD, W0VB and K0SHF on 144. EN35 =
was represented on 2 by KC0SQU. And I even scared up K0SRL from EN41 in =
Davenport, IA

I look forward to the contest and handing out EN63 on 50, 144 and =
432. It doesn't sound like my 222 transverter will be ready by this =
weekend. (If your Buckmaster says I'm in EN53, that's incorrect. My =
info *is* correct on qrz.com) I operate the radios 1/5th mile east of =
the EN53/EN63 grid line, so I'm EN63, 40 miles NNW of Milwaukee.

Like I've said, I'm pretty new at the transmitting end of things. I =
am not able to do CW at this point. Yes, I look forward to learning it =
over the coming months. I don't want to violate any contest rules by =
talking too much about my operating activities this weekend. I'm not =
entirely sure where the line gets drawn on making skeds in advance of =
the contest.

Basically, I want to somehow indicate when (and on what freq.) I =
will specifically be listening to the W and NW. I plan on being in the =
shed for the majority of the contest and I want to devote certain blocks =
of time every few hours to certain sectors of the compass. Can anyone =
help clue me in as to what's proper and what is too much info?

Also, I remain available for skeds prior to the contest. Drop me an =
email in the next hour or two, or tomorrow. Once I am in the =
shack/shed, I have no computer access. Right now, I've been tending to =
listen on the regular call frequencies.

73 and thanks for the help,
    Todd KC9BQA EN63 40 NNW of Milwaukee
