Hi all,
Here is an update on the upcoming Contest effort
for me in the VHF contest this weekend. Unless I have
major problems, this is going to be the setup and
band/mode breakdown. I will be running SO2R (SO3R?)
Low power in the contest. Modes will be CW and phone.
QTH: EN44, Eau Claire, WI.
6-Meter 25 Watts 4 element homebrew yagi
2-meter 30 Watts 14 element homebrew yagi
220 Mhz 30 Watts 10 element homebrew yagi
432 Mhz 30 watts 18 element homebrew yagi
1296 Mhz 10 watts 31 element homebrew yagi
Antennas stacked on the porta-tower between 25 and 35
feet.
POSSIBLE adds: more power on 6 meter if I can get an
old tuber amp working right, and 400+ watts on 220.
These all depend on time, cabling, and benching out.
IF we get really lucky I might have mroe pwer on 2
meter also, but have not gotten the amp going as of
yet.
I will be monitoring 6 and 2 meter SSB/CW near the
calling freqs of 50.125 and 144.200...I will move band
to band from there, and use either 2 or 6 as liason.
I will also have 2 meter and 440 MHz FM monitoring on
another HT or mobile radio at the freqs: 146.550,
446.000. I may be a bit directional on these, but for
the Eau Claire area FM crowd, I should be able to pick
out whomever. (FM horizontal polarized...*L*)
I hope to catch a few of you. There are a good many
stations here in Eau Claire that will be on for the
contest. If you are in the neighborhood, feel free to
stop in and see the mess..*LOL*
=====
I modulate, therefore I am!
...73, and all that jazz,
