I am working on my sequencer box for my transverter and want to
install a meter in the box to measure the power output line from the
xvtr. As I have not powered up the xvtr yet, I am not sure of the
output voltage from this lead is. Can anyone offer me a suggestion
what range of meter I should use.
Hi Dale. If you are talking about the monitor (MON) line that comes out of
the DB6NT 10 GHz transverter, that signal will run around 1.0 to 1.2 vdc at
full RF output. Its a high impedance signal. I use a cheap Radio Shack
multi-meter on mine with a SPDP switch to be able to switch the meter between
either the MON line or the system B+ voltage (when your out in the field its nice
to know what your B+ voltage is).
