Hi Guys
First, GREAT to see/ visit with several of you yesterday. Got lots of info
that I needed as I continue to THINK about Wawa or Marathon area
operations in Aug. WITH BARRY's plans ... all of this may need to be
reexamined. Too early to know and I continue to research. I also THANK
those of you that are currently assisting me in this research.
I purchased a Palm M100 and HotSync cradle yesterday at St Cloud.
After a 2 hr download last night I have Palm Desktop on the main
hamshack computer and have downloaded BD as will as the MathLib and
PocketC.
The M100 only has 2meg of memory and runs an older OS but not sure of
the Ver yet.
After the 2hr dialup download for Palm Desktop I am "running". Never
owned or played with one of these before. Using the Address book for
Grids, Home distances and bearings as well as phone numbers.
BD runs fine, I wish it would remember "user's grid" , not going to be fun
entering the grid from which you are portable FROM every time you use it
as well as the other stations grid.
What other programs are worth looking at for portable 10Ghz operation? I
have a Magellen Etrex GPS that I use as well. I had been using it for
bearing/ distance and will continue to do that as well.
