I'm glad you clarified yourself in the last paragraph.  ARRL bashing is =
"fightin' words" around these parts.

I would be interested to know the exact wording of the article.  My =
hunch is that you misunderstood one important aspect.  I'm sure this =
will all come clear once the ARRL forms its official response.

The Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) was going to be issued by the =
FCC.  They had to do it.  This is too big an issue to just kill BPL at =
this early point.  Today's meeting was to issue the NPRM or not.  What =
was issued is really good news.  I think the ARRL will come out =
welcoming this NPRM action today once they look at it all the wording. =20

My suspicion is that the criteria stipulated by the NPRM will likely =
kill BPL through engineering and market forces.  So if the article was =
about whether the ARRL supports "tacitly" the NPRM or not, they no doubt =
have the facts straight.
