Hello Gang:

I kept the car glued together since the VHF Sweeps. Since it is SO much
work to put together and take apart, I thought I'd squeeze one more contest
out of it. Well, now I'm truly overdosed on RF and can safely put
everything away till June.

What I like about the MNQP is that it's only a 10 hour contest. I also like
that the VHF portion got many of us to work our friends repetitively--kinda
like a club sprint. I also LOVE counties as multipliers. They are closer
together and bring our state together for one day.

I was treated to a gorgeos day for driving around Minnesota. I'd have done
the drive just for that.

Activity levels were higher than I expected. Nice to hear W0LER and others.

I don't know if we VHF'ers will make a stab at this contest next year, but
unless the format changes, I think we came to realize some of the contests
shortcomings with respect to VHF. If we have a good discussion and come up
with some recommendations, I'd bet the MWA would consider our inputs. The
negative I'm speaking of here is making two QSO's per band to jack up Qpts.
What an arbitrary exercise. Before the contest, I thought it was neat. Now
that it's over, I thought it was an arbitrary hoop that slowed things down
incredibly. But stand by for my other message today asking about "designing
the perfect State VHF Sprint".

Stand by for my score listing. I think about 300 Q's in 10 mults.
