Charles,

This is what I have for info, which is not much:

   ULA-50
     420-440 Mhz
     12-14V DC power requirement
Input power rating: 500 Milliwatts to 5 Watts FM
     Mode: FM/SSB/CW (I Don't believe it is
auto-switching for mode though.)
     Input SWR recommended: 1.1-1.5:1
     8Amp fuse
Most likely a 50 Watt FM output...SSB and CW
should be a bit more. (no listing, but gathering from
the way the KLV designs go, the model number roughly
correspond to the output power.

Price is roughly $180-200 plus shipping depending
on where you find it.

It seems to be a decent amp, although a tad pricey
for an amp designed to run behind an HT...but then
again , 70 cm amps are a bit on the pricey side
anyhow.

I have not run this amp, or know any one that has, I
ust am rattling off some specs I found in a catalog,
and speculating on the rest. The KLV VHF amps (VLA
series) seem to be decent. I have heard a few people
talk abou them and they are very happy with them. So
in light of that, it may be a positive thing. but I
am not endorsing anything...*L* Personally I would
stay with Mirage/KLM/TE systems myself for the solid
state amps...these I do know are rugged and perform
well.

I hope this helps.

     Dave...N9TTX
