I will be looking for you Bruce...and everyone else of
course also. Unfortunately I have to fire my way thru
that hill, so the 1296 band is going to be a long
stretch...432 is okay depending on conditions.
Anyhow, again I will be running both modes on
everything from 80 meters thru 1296 minus the 902 band
still. I will be listening and calling out primarily
on or around the calling freqs for 6 and 2 meters for
VHF, but I will dial all over in quiet times. the
bonus is that I will have the yagis pointed
essentially in one direction and a bit af waggling,
instead of all over the place like in the VHF contest,
so I should hear people a whole lot better since I
will have the ears to the front instead of to the
side..*L* I am almost anticipating more VHF contacts
than HF ones as the G5RV will only be up 20 feet at
the highest...but hopefullly the takeoff angles will
benifit short-hop/groundwave contacts. Remember to
point your beams toward Eau Claire, WI (EN44) once in
a while. points is points. For example at best case:

75/80 CW and SSB contacts = 3
40 ditto = 3
20 " = 3
15 " = 3
10 " = 3
 6 " = 3
 2 " = 3
220Mhz " = 3
432 " = 3
1296 " = 3
10 bands at 3 points each = 30 points and 1 mult for
WI

I know best case won't happen, but in the case of
rovers, well, just think if I get you in many
counties....*LOL* Hopefully the propagation is good
for all bands. Let's hope for a full Amateur Spectrum
opening...*LOL*

      See you this weekend.
