Well, first of all I would like to thank everyone who
turned out for the contest. I would say that there
were a lot of people that I worked who I have not
talked to before. There was even one who changed
their call just to surprise me. (Thanks for the Q's
W0JLF!)

The rovers really made this contest fun! I am very
impressed at the level of operation from the locals
going out. The Jon and John AMT rover group (Johns 1
without an H) activated some grids that I would have
never worked if they had not gone there. Great job!
Bruce, W9FZ/r, also did a bang up job. He is great at
running the bands, WOW! KM0T, N0DQS, W0IS, KC0OIA,
and KC0IYT also thanks for going out in the cold air!

My biggest thanks has to go out to N0KP for all the
help with my troulbe transverters. I might have only
been on 2 and 6 if it was not for his effort. Thanks
Dave!

Highlights:
Working the Aurora on Saturday. I enjoyed running a
AU pileup (What a different experience!) Worked
mainly on 2m and caught FN04 and EM89 for my best DX.
What a blast!

Working on 10 and 5 Gigs! I have to go up on top of
my apartment building to operate and I found out that
the 817 does not like cold weather. I would make and
Q and them bring it back inside to warm it up.

Not so highlights:
1296 was not working. I only worked the extreme local
stations. Got it working now, thanks Gary!

2304 The coax ate up most of my signal by the time it
got to the antenna.

3456 Only made one Q and after the contest I found out
that it was a loose wire. Also fixed now.

Moral of my contest. When adding more power, more
antennas, more bands do it more than just a few weeks
before the contest!

Summary:
6m 79 Qs 17 Grids
2m 124 Qs 27 Grids
222 35 Qs 11 Grids
432 64 Qs 14 Grids
902 22 Qs 10 Grids
1296 5 Qs 1 Grid
2304 7 Qs 2 Grids
3456 1 Q 1 Grid
5760 2 Qs 1 Grid
10 Ghz 7 Qs 2 Grids

Total 346 Qs and 86 Grids = 55470

Thanks,
Eric KT8O
