[NLRS] Question on MOSFET orientation

OK, dumb question number 127.   I'm  working with a BF966S dual gate MOSFET.  
 The spec sheet shows pins 1,  2, 3, and 4 orientation, and provides text as 
to which pin is what, but what it  doesnt say is if it is a top view (looking 
down on the part) or a  bottom view (looking up at the part).   It makes a 
difference as to  which side is Source and which side is Gate2.   The leads are  
symetrical along the Gate1 & Drain axis.   Gate1 and Drain I have  figured out.

Are these component views in the spec sheets top view or  bottom view (and 
jeesh, why don't they say !).
