I know, I know, I've been meaning to do this since October. I would
suggest stretching Sat NLRS breakfast late as a meeting, but I'm on-call
and can't guarantee that I'll be there this Saturday. Even if I'm not
there, brainstorming about CSVHFS06 would be a fine topic of discussion
at the breakfast.

I think why we have so much potential to put on a good event is the
number of people we have in NLRS who are excited about putting on a good
event at the same time showing off what we are accomplishing as a group.
Many hands will make easy work. Many brains will anticipate and plan
for details leading to a smooth event.

I will start a separate CSVHFS06 email reflector after our meeting.

Before Holiday Season gets any crazier, I'm inviting all who are
interested to '06 Planning Meeting #1 next Tuesday night at my apartment
complex. We'll be having lots of meetings over the next 19 months so if
you can't make this one, there will be plenty more. I see a primary
goal of brainstorming a vision of what we want this conference to be.
>From that vision will come obvious areas requiring labor/effort. I see
us fleshing out committees and starting to peg names against some of the
tasks. In the meantime, be thinking of hotel/venue options, Antenna
Range options, and the area that really has me freaked: family program.
We need spouses to share what aspects of Minnesota, in addition to MOA,
are interesting for us to show off. I see our committee doing the
legwork on setting up the family program--but we need spouse input along
the way. Then on the big day, we'll need spouses to help host our
guests. I look forward to your thoughts on this and many other topics
when we meet.

Throughout the next year, we will consult with W0UC and K0FQA and others
about the details of the 96 Conference.

Date: 14 December 2004
Time: 1900 till 2100. At 2030 we'll start tying things up.
Place: Lexington Heights Apts Community Bldg
2330 Lexington Ave S. Mendota Hts.
Talk-in: 146.46 or call me on cellphone 651-491-1077

I will have chips and pops but no Sandwiches this time :-)

Driving Directions:
>From the Mendota Bridge (55/110), go east on 110 about 1.5 miles to the
2nd Light which is Lexington Ave. Turn right (south) and go about 1
mile. On your left (east) you will see 3 dark brown brick apartment
buildings. Between the northerly two buildings you'll see a smaller
brown brick building--that is the complex "common area" building. Our
meeting is in there. If you get to the water tower, you've gone too
far.

Alternatively, if you come from 494, get off at Pilot Knob Rd and go
north to the first stop sign (not light--sign) and turn right (east) on
Mendota Hts Rd. The first traffic light is at 55. Go through/past 55 on
Mendota Hts Rd to the first stop sign. It's a T intersection only
allowing left (north) or straightahead (east). Turn Left (north) on to
Lexington Ave. Go about .4 mile to the three brown brick apartment
buildings on your right (east). The easiest way is to enter the lot for
the middle building and park at the north end.

Questions, ask! If you can't make the meeting, once I have the reflector
set-up, you can share your inputs and we can have a continueing lively
dialogue there.
