If it was'nt for the ARRL Amateur frequencys would
have been sold off long long ago. They are the only
lobbyist keeping the money grubbing corporations from
stealing freqs!
The Rovermania could continue on with out the ARRL
indeed but alot goes into the coodination of a
contest. The truth of it is 5 to 10% of people
volunteer to do 90% of the work. That's just the raw
facts and 5 to 10% can only do so much.
