Well, not a problem if it would help someone earn their VUCC, just would 
have to leave that contact out of the log for the actual contest, much 
as you'd hate to do that.

Ah, yes, the real reasons why you cannot just rely on a map.  Having 
been there makes all the difference.  Thanks for the info.

I suppose there MUST be a spot a little further up the road that takes 
care of all three problems, although the extra hassle of passing through 
U.S. and Canadian Customs may make it not worthwhile, especially 
considering the fact that the distance points keep getting smaller and 
smaller as you cross the border.  Besides, there are other grids that 
the U.P. folks should be able to reach.  Worst case, some of the folks 
who already have VUCC or don't care could go to Brockway and activate 
EN67 for the folks staying behind in EN57 who need one more grid to earn 
it.  (Of course, I don't really know if Brockway has a shot to Great 
Sand Bay or Sunset Bay Campground, now that I think about it...)
