Breakfast is this Saturday, August 14th, at the Roseville Old Country
Buffet. I will bring NLRS windbreakers for those who have ordered them
and not picked theirs up yet (guess we need them with this weather, huh).
I will also bring QSL cards for those who may need them from my recent rove
..... K0CJ, I'll bring cards for you as requested.
Some interesting scores starting to trickle in from the August UHF contest.
You can see rumored scores at the NEWS website at
http://www.newsvhf.com/make-augscores.cgi
If you haven't sent your log in to the ARRL, don't forget. If you need
help in doing so, please ask. You can see if your log is in or not at
their "logs received" website at
http://www.arrl.org/contests/claimed/logs_rx.html?con_id=70 . I already
see a lot of NLRS logs showing up, include W0JT who may have been the first
log in ..... impressive ! Although I used paper logging during my rove
(10 pages !), I found that I could convert it to an electronic log using
RoverLog. If anyone is interested in this, just ask ... its pretty slick
and its the first time that I've used it.
Also, the UHF contest soapbox comments are coming in to the ARRL's website,
include a write up by W0JT/R and W0ZQ/R. Sorry about the small pictures,
I goofed. You can check out the soapbox at
http://www.arrl.org/contests/soapbox/?con_id=70 . Think about doing one
yourself.
Lastly, good luck to those who may be running with the Perseid meteors
tonight, let us know how you do.
73, Jon
W0ZQ
