In order to help reduce the fumble factor, and being a solo rover Op, I
have created a simple table that shows the azimuth bearings to fixed
stations that I know will be operating as well as other common gird corners
(to help catch other rovers). For example for my rove I have five planned
stopping areas; the EN33/32/23/22 corner, the EN12/13 corner, EN14, EN15,
and the EN25/24/35/34 corner. For each of these five stops I have
pre-computed the bearings to stations such as W0GHZ, N0KP, K0AWU, KM0T, etc
so I only need to look at the chart and aim. To this list of known fix
stations I've added the common grid corners (Dog Lake, Beuford, etc).
Fixed stations should also know (by heart ?) the bearing to all common grid
corners .... your rotator indicator sensor will develop a notch on that
heading.
