Push for a ham with a hf beam in the area, otherwise it means nothing, =
if the ham is a tech who operates on vhf !! Trust us give me a break =
they probably know nothing about what they are doing.

  Subject: BPL in Rochester, MN
There now is a plan for a BPL trial in Rochester.
Starting with 10 to 20 subscribers for three
months beginning in July 04. This will be expanded
to about 100 if the first three months are successful
for a second three months and could include Amatuer
Radio operators if they live in the trial area.

We have been promised a map of the general trial
area but not the locations of the subscribers.
For privacy reasons they don't want us running
thru the back yards. The trial companies came to
our March radio club meeting and basically said
trust us, we think we can eliminate all the problems
  that have been previously reported.

I have agreed to be on our club monitoring group.
More info is on the RARC web site at www.rarchams.org
