[NLRS] FT290RII problem

Hi Guys

  I purchased a FT290RII on e-bay about a month ago for use with the 10Ghz 
system. VERY CLEAN!!!!  BUT the 290 has very  low power output. 

 Since I was going to pad the output anyway this was not a REAL problem 
... BUT there is a problem.

 On SSB I get only 1/2watt output and on FM/CW 1 1/2 watts. Not very 
equal!!  Is this typical with this unit?  Are there internal adjustments that 
would allow these to be more balanced, OR is this just associated with the 
low output problem?

  With the 25Watt amp attached about 1 to 1 1/2 watts on  SSB and on 
CW/FM 10watts  (Current SSB 4 amps, CW/FM  6 amps)

  Sure don't want to be underdriving the DEM transverter by 5db when I 
switch to SSB on 10GHZ sometime soon. (4 weeks into 4 to 6 week delivery 
delay on the DEM)

  Anyone have a service manual on the 290?
