If anyone wants a 24 hour clock, I recommend you find the nearest Dollar
Store in the metro area and stop in to get one of the "Weekly Alarm Clocks"
they are currently selling. You'll find a little brown box slightly smaller
than a deck of playing cards. And it costs a buck! I bought mine at the
Hillcrest Shopping Center (White Bear & Larpenteur) but they have stores
all over the metro.

The clock is a travel alarm clock with a large LCD display showing day,
date, and time including seconds. The time display is 1/2" high and the
day-date is .2" high. Right there on the front is a button to select 12 or
24 hour format. The clock is less than 1/2" thick and pulls out of a
protective cover that rotates to become a stand.

I'm going to mount one on the back of my 10GHz dish to replace the watch I
have mounted there now. I always have trouble with the watch trying to
remember to add 12 hours for 24 hour contest time..... This gives me 24
hour time, seconds, and the date as well. And much cheaper than the MFJ
clock.....

It is a bit of a pain to set the seconds to zero. Start with the minutes at
one less that actual time and press the SET button twice when zero seconds
comes around. That will increment the minutes and clear seconds to zero at
the same time.

If you're really into horsing around, the clock has a countdown mode so you
can have it tell you the current time as well as count down the number of
seconds or minutes to the end of the contest.<g>

Anyway, if you need a 24 hour clock around the shack or for your 10GHz
station, give this a try.
