Hi all,

I operated QRP Portable at Ridgeway Park in EN35.

Here's the band-by-band breakdown:

      50 MHz 12Q 2G
    144 MHz 34Q 10G
     223 MHz 11Q 3G
     432 MHz 14Q 4G
     902 MHz 6Q 2G (still can't find anyone on in EN35)
   1296 MHz 11Q 3G
   2304 MHz 3Q 1G
   3456 MHz 2Q 1G
   5760 MHz 1Q 1G
 10368 MHz 4Q 1G
                         ____ ____
                          98Q 28G Total 5236

Activity was pretty slow most of the time. Where were the locals?
Many of the regulars were never heard. It was so slow that I
could barely raise anyone on 2M FM.

10G activity was down, only 4Q and no one on from EN35!
I had 16Qs during the UHF contest last month.

I missed W0AMT/R in EN35 so I still haven't been able to work
my own grid on 902 during a contest. Thanks to Mike, KB0TZA,
for the 1296 EN35 mult. I'll have to finish your 902 transverter
so I can get that mult in January.

I worked Dave, N0KP, for the first time on 900, 1296, 2304 and
3456. We bounced off of the Minneapolis buildings for the 3456 Q.
Next time I'll be looking for Dave on 5760 and 10G!

Gary, GHZ, and I worked on 5760 by using building bounce.
Signals were better on 5.7G off the buildings than on 3.4 G
where we worked direct.

Thanks to W0AMT/R, John and Jon, for the mults. I will try to
have more power on the bands next time.

Equipment was:
     50MHz 10W Squalo at 10'
   144MHz 10W 6el VJB at 15'
   223MHz 8W FM 6el VJB at 7'
   432MHz 3W 8el Quagi at 13'
   902MHz 6W 10el VJB at 9'
  1296MHz 1/2W 10el VJB at 11'
  2304MHz 1W 21el Looper at 8'
  3456MHz 50mW 2' dish at 4'
  5760MHz 20mW 18" offset dish at 4'
10368MHz 1W 18" offset dish at 5'

Only one police visit each day this year. No real problems.
One officer said they had a call from Honeywell. It must have
looked to suspicious with the all the antennas pointing their way.
On Sunday I had a police visit and still had the audio turned up.
He could hear the guys joking about me having another visit.
The officer thought the guys where bad mouthing the police.
He wasn't amused. I did explain to him that they were making fun
of me and that it has become somewhat of a standing joke to
count the number of police visits. I saw a Honeywell security
car drive by late Sunday afternoon. I also had plenty of "what
are you doing" questions. There was even a ham who stopped,
WN0O. I didn't get his name. He stopped to take some pictures
of the sunset. He was a day late. The sunset was fantastic Saturday.

Remember to send you scores in and note Northern Lights
Radio Society for the club competition. Just putting down
NLRS won't work.

The second weekend of the 10G Cumulative is next weekend.
Watch the reflector for announcements. We expect to be
working the WBFM paths Saturday morning. All are welcome
to come and observe. If there are enough loaner units you
can make some 10G contacts as well.

73, Gary WB0LJC
