[NLRS] NLRS - September VHF QSO Party

KC0IYT & KD5EMB (Multi-operator) plans:

Planning for the September QSO party seems to be going well.  We'll be
operating a temporary station from Ridge Cliff Park at the south edge of
Eagan.  We plan to be on 6m, 2m, 1.25m, 70cm and 23cm from EN34js.

Tuesday evening, Brent (KD5EMB) and I went to Ridge Cliff Park in Eagan to try
out a new mast.  Both my 2M 7EL and 6M 3EL antennas went up in the air well at
the top a 2-segment mast of 1" - 3/4" EMT conduit.  I'll be trying for more
height later this week or Saturday morning :-)

We got a lot of attention from locals who saw our "big" antenna.  One neighbor
came over to ask if we were trying to communicate with aliens... I wasn't sure
how to even respond to that question!  I'll bring along some amateur radio
info for the curious.
