What a FANTASTIC two weekends! Thanks to all the operators
that were willing to drive and put their stations on the air.
Summary:
KC0P 253 Q's 18 calls, 47842km, 314km Best Dx, Score=49642
N0HZO 230 Q's 17 calls, 45919km, 314km Best DX, Score=47619
That's a lot of talkin going on.

We mailed our logs yesterday and included in the Soapbox:
The signals across Lake Superior were exciting to hear and
the contacts were a thrill to execute in rapid fire sequence.
Only five contacts were close enough for LOS, all the rest
were tropo ducting, forward scatter or back scatter over
obstructed paths and reflections off of buildings from forty
miles away. I suspect Carol was the highest scoring female
in the US, maybe the world.

A special thanks to Toni KD0JI, for the use of his truck on
Saturday afternoon to run into Eagle Harbor for coffee and
carrot cake. It was getting drowsy in the hot sun at Great
Sand Bay. Later when we got to the top of Mt. Brockway there
were forty people with blankets on the ground watching the
sun go down. We rapidly had six dishes pointed across the
lake to our eight comrades set up at Grand Marais and
W. Hovland. To each his own.

The SE MN loops were also productive on the second weekend.
It was fun to run with W0ZQ on Saturday and then meet up
with WA2VOI and W0JT on Sunday. Thanks again to all the
operators who agreed to run with a plan that would maximize
the score for the NLRS. It was a success and fun.
