A comment based on another e-mail...
The bearing between Elk River and the site Gary was at isn't really over =
the downtown area... its more easterly by maybe 10*. At the Elk River =
site, there is a huge sand pile just across the road (well, it is a =
gravel pit) and only 1 beam-width to the east of the downtown buildings. =
Its not really possible to get a clear path on the correct heading. In =
the past, comparing signals between Cannon Falls and Vasa from Elk =
River, the Vasa path is down quite a bit. I've attrubited it to =
changing conditions, but it may be due to not aiming correctly. That =
is, continuing to use downtown as the aim point, and not the correct =
heading. (The path from Cannon Falls to Elk River (331*/151*) lies =
DIRECTLY over downtown MPLS. From Vasa to Elk River (324*/144*) does =
not.) One of these days, we'll have to verify that.
