Well, my wife and I did go out there last Sunday, hoping that the rain
and fog would dissipate before we arrived, which they didn't. So I had
no good opportunity to see what the horizon looked like.

But it was definitely a disappointment in several respects for a
possible 10 GHz operating site. There is a nice parking lot, but then
about a 100 yard hike to down a stony path to the actual overlook. You
are walking downhill as you walk basically west to get to the brink.
When you get there, everything behind you (East) is obstructed by higher
ground. And in keeping with its status of park, there is plenty of
vegetation all around. Possible open angles from due South (180
degrees) to a bit shy of NorthWest (about 300 to 310 degrees). Oh well,
we enjoyed our little "expedition" for other reasons anyway.
