Dave,

Since this is basically for the contest, how about a weather balloon,
Helium, couple of insulators, good nylon cord,  and 40 meters of stranded
antenna wire.  Mount it to the top of your trailer and use the trailer as
the ground plane.

There you go, full quarter wave and it will work better than any loaded
antenna no matter what the electrical wavelength is.
