Went just south across the river to Burnsville/Eagan to find a line of site
location with the IDS tower & downtown Mpls. Its was so hazy I could not
see the buildings. I stop at one location that I thought SHOULD BE
line-of-site with downtown, set-up the tripod, pointed to where I thought
downtown should be, turned on the rig, went to the car to get a can of pop,
came back & turned the volume up and there was Lenny .... if it was only that
easy all the time.   I never had a visual on the IDS tower due to the haze;
all dead reckoning (and yes, I did not have a compass or a map, and yes I
broke the prime directive).

Worked K0SHF, W0GHZ (home qth), KD0JI, N0UK, and W0AUS all off of downtown.
All signals were S9 with Bob's S9+10dB. Bob & I also worked direct path, or
at least on a direct heading .... there were also multiple reflects from
multiple builds. Bobs beacon using 10mW and 20dB of antenna was S5 off the
buildings at my portable site.

Way too much fun for a Sunday afternoon.
