Excellent info!  My past several trips to Copper Harbor, I've stayed at a place called Minnetonka Resort.  It's one of about 7 motels in town.  It's nothing special--in fact, the "cabins" that accomodate 3 or 4 people are actually pretty "rustic".  But then again, the price is right.  They have a website that I always forget directly--I end up searching for Copper Harbor, Michigan, and then follow a link off of the town's page.

Tell ya what, when I get back to the cities on Monday night, I'll make a few reservations and hold them on my card all summer.  I'll probably go for one of the cabins and two other rooms for now.

While it probably is too early to make the firm "team compositions", those of us that really have a preference for operating the Copper Harbor end should probably follow Jim's advice within the week.

Very nice to see everyone at breakfast this morning.  I'm glad we had more discussion and "pointy-talky" with the map.  There seems to be good consensus to make the main effort for the August 16-17 weekend.  While I implied in my earlier posting that it's two days or nothing, several brought it to my attention that if some can only make one day, there would still be plenty of opportunity for those folks to participate and be a big help.  I agree and every operator is appreciated.

Just reflecting what I heard/saw today, there is general enthusiasm for the project and there seems to be understanding that we will at some point during the summer have to MEET and actually have a details meeting.  Gary LJC jotted down a list of all (known) potential players and put check marks by those names that have alreadyexpressed a firm committment to participate.  In time, we'll check with the other names and see what their plans are.   We will move the discussion to a distribution list--I will contact some directly to see if they wish to be on the distribution.  Those of you who have spoken-up to participate will be on the distribution.

I'm pumped!  I've got to get my equipment working again and soon!
