I will not be at the breakfast so I'll wait to hear the decision. I can
probably go either weekend, 1 or 2 days, assuming I get my equipment
assembled before then.<g> I'm going to see how much of that I can get done
in May.
It would be nice to get the antenna and test day scheduled once or twice in
June-July. I assume we want to schedule our activities to support the
summer contests:
June 14 - 16 ARRL June VHF QSO Party
June 28 - 29 ARRL Field Day
August 2 - 3 ARRL UHF Contest
August 16 - 17 ARRL 10 GHz and Up Contest
September 13 - 15 ARRL September VHF QSO Party
September 20 - 21 ARRL 10 GHz and Up Contest
Many people spend at least part of one day on microwave for the June VHF
QSO Party. For myself, I doubt I'll have my equipment together by then. The
only open Saturday I have left before then is May 24. Would this be a good
day for the first work day? A day to build feed horns and check equipment?
The only reason I have it open is because it is the start of the Memorial
Day weekend so a lot of people will be out of town.
There was discussion of trying to make 10 GHz part of the local Field Day
scene. I can say that last year Bruce's 10 GHz QSO's brought the greatest
interest at our Field Day site. (This year our location will not have as
good a shot to the south.... But if you get on the roof, it will work....)
The August UHF Contest is usually seen as a warmup for the 10 GHz Contest
two weeks later. It might be good to have a system sensitivity test day on
August 2 or some day before then.
I look forward to hearing what you decide.
