Just a couple of follow-up items from our clubs business meeting last week.=20=
=20
First, I just sent our NLRS business meeting minutes to W0JT for posting on=20
our website. Watch the website for updates.
Second, motions that were made:
Contest Plaque:=A0=A0 I've had one round of contact with Dan Henderson. The=
cost=20
is $60, we approved $75, so we should be set. It will not be possible to ad=
d=20
the club logo as the plaques are mass-produced and the individual winner and=
=20
sponsor's information additional plate is also a standard format. The=20
League is currently working on plaques for the 2002 contest season. They di=
d=20
have an extended delay with the 2001 plaques due to the supplier going out o=
f=20
business and the League lost access to the artwork. Since then, the plaque=20
artwork has been updated and they are playing catch-up. Unfortunately Dan=20
didn't tell me what plaque(s) are available for sponsorship. When I find=20
this out I'll let the club know which plaque we are sponsoring.
NLRS Club Donations to QTH.NET:=A0=A0 The club will be forwarding $150 to=20
QTH.NET.
Club Assistance to Silent Keys:=A0=A0 The club has formed a committee of=20
volunteers to assist with the radio estate of silent keys if so asked. =20
W9FZ, K0SHF, KC0LMS have volunteered to man this committee. In the event o=
f=20
such a need, please contact myself or one of these club members. =20
Last, if someone is interested in volunteering to be our clubs communication=
s=20
point person, I am all ears. Such a person may be able to identify fellow=20
radio clubs and their contacts for providing CHF/UHF weak signal=20
presentations and to help set up displays at hamfest and conventions such as=
=20
what we did for MidWinter and CSVHF. My expectation is that we would throw=
=20
our club support to such a volunteer .... I'm looking for an organizer, not=20
someone to shoulder all the work themselves. =20
Regarding my goal of completing our business meeting in 45 minutes, I=20
missed.=A0 =A0 We will work on this for next year !
