Hi Mike.
There are two tripods at Axeman (as Jon implied).  The St. Paul store has
several of the ones like many of us are using... I'm pretty sure its the one
Jon speaks of in his msg.

Three of 4 mons ago, I also got a larger tripod there, that is most likely
the one YOU'RE speaking of.  At that time, they (St. Paul - University Ave.-
store) had "several" left down in the basement.  Its worth asking if there
are any at all left.

Hi Mike,

Axeman is open Saturday and I would be happy to show you the way.  I don' t
what
features the current crop of tripods have.  The ones I bought there about a
month ago have a 1-1/2" O.D tube out of the top and don't have any spring
loaded
anything.
