Hello.

Here is the N0RPM June VHF Contest claimed score. We got a late start
due to needed antenna work. (6pm, the joke was "Oh, you meant 1800 Zulu!".)
It sounds like 6 was open for most of the day, would of liked to get more
time during the opening.

    Final Score = 9300 points.

I did get to make 2 cw contacts, which is new for me. John, KC0OIE hosted
our operation. Our other operators were Glen, KC0IYT and Brent, KD5EMB.

I'm going to collect comments and pictures (including our "ladder tower",
complete with rotor) from the rest of the group and post them to the ARRL
soapbox.

in the meantime here is a soapbox entry from Glen, KC0IYT:

This multi-op group has operated the past four contests from temporary
locations. Despite our intentions to be on the air at the opening of the
contest, we were several hours late in answering our first call. On contest
day, we mounted an 8' tower on a roof and assembled a 20' tower using an
extension ladder. Those projects left us exhausted and not very interested in
getting on the air.

We experienced several equipment problems: the first was our 222mhz
transverter not working with it's radio. This resulted, in the end, in a
dammaged transverter interface box and a stack of blown fuses. We replaced it
with an HT to make a few 222 FM contacts.

The 6M band opening on Saturday was great! Sunday, however, got boring. We
also didn't find as many rovers as we'd hoped to.
