Barring any last-minute unforseen disasters, I should be on the air for
the June contest from EN34js. Bands A-B-C-D are functional right now.
I re-mounted the 902 and 1296 antennas on the tower this week.
Hopefully the new attachment method will withstand the wind better than
the last setup did.
I never did get around to building the 4-band transverter interface box,
nor did I mount a 2304 antenna to the tower, so 2304 will still not be
operational this time around. I did just finish modifying my old 2-band
transverter interface box for remote control a few minutes ago, so I
should be able to get it mounted up in the garage attic tonight and be
on the air with those two bands by tomorrow afternoon. If so, this will
be the first time I will operate those two bands from home. I'm keeping
my fingers (, toes, eyes, and everything else) crossed hoping that no
new gremlins prevent me from getting them on the air.
Here's hoping we all have a great time in the contest!
