Hello,
Thank you to everyone who was able to help me so far with the DEM 222-28
transverter. But the 222 saga continues.
Now I'm trying to tune up the 7-element homebrew Yagi I finished tonight.
I know tuning antennas is a bear in the first place (I got my homebrew
70cm beam working after about four days of tuning), but this one is tougher
than I anticipated. I don't seem to be able to get the SWR below about 2:1.
Would anyone on the list who is in the Twin Cities happen to have some
expertise in this, the appropriate test equipment (unless we only need
an SWR meter), and the willingness to spend some time with me during
the morning or early afternoon on Friday? In return I can offer my
sincere gratitude and my best effort to work you in the contest this
weekend.
If you'd be willing to help, please call me at 651-493-6693 between 11
tonight and 12:30 (since I'm stepping out for a moment), or sometime
around 8AM tomorrow morning. If I'm not home for some odd reason,
please leave a message and I'll return your call as quickly as I can.
Thanks,
Brent
