Using the GL program on the Palm Pilot, it says that the distance is
632.1 Km or 392.8 Mi, bearings 334.72 and 151.96 degrees (grid center
to grid center, and using the WGS84 ellipsoid model of the Earth). My
GridLoc program is a bit simpler, assumes a spherical Earth, and
estimates 392.5 miles or 631.7 Km.
If you used the "usual" Burnsville location, 44:46:19.3N, 93:17:06.5W,
instead of the subgrid center, GL gives a distance of 632.2 Km. Did
either of you bring along a GPS to pin down the locations more exactly
than this? Might be worth a few more Km.
In any event, my most hearty congratulations on a job well done!

Hmmm, a quick punch in of the coordinates for Barry and Mike (KM0T)
comes up with a distance of 754.9 Km, which ought to be good for a new
first place record! Looks like one more goal Mike should shoot for, not
that I want Jon's new 2nd place record to fall quickly!
In any event, 10 Gig sure isn't the "uncharted territory" it used to be
just a short time ago in NLRS-land anymore! Good show!
73 to all
