Hello NLRS'ers:

This year, there is only one Party Suite and it's not sponsored by any club.
I don't think it would be appropriate for northern clubs to waltz in and
hang a bunch of stuff on the wall and "sponsor" the suite. However, I've
stepped forward as kind of "Party Meister" and could use my friends help and
support in 3 ways:

1. Two or three of you, please bring a cooler. I've got one. I can get one
or two more from the Tulsa team. But 2 or 3 more would be good. If you
think you can fit one easily into your vehicle, let me know via email and
I'll track the first 2 or 3 volunteers.

2. Please come socialize in the Suite Thursday night after Registration,
Friday night after Flea-market (and during tail end of fleamarket), and
Saturday night after Banquet (I don't expect too many then, but I'll be
there). People make a party--so stop by.

3. Also, if you come, please help me man a snacks/beverage counter for a few
minutes each. We'll put out a "kitty" can again to help offset. Any of you
that can donate a little Pop or beer or snacks, that would be way cool.
Lots of small donations make a well stocked party. The Society will cover
the snack plates (and anything not donated) but some chips/cracker
resupplies would be cool. I really need volunteers to "cover" the suite
while I'm off at the BOD meetings on Thurs and Friday night.

Relatedly, but not specific to the project above, W6OAL Dave, mentioned to
me that he was at a SEVHFS conference and was impressed with how friendly
and inclusive it was of "new" members. He encourages all of us, if we see
someone we don't recognize or just off on their own, to introduce ourselves
and engage this other VHF'er to learn his situation. So, lets make CSVHFS
conferences friendly events--let's not be cliqueish. Thanks.

See some of you in Tulsa!
