[NLRS] January Contest Results for the NLRS

The ARRL January Contest results are out on the Leagues website at <A HREF="http://www.remote.arrl.org/contests/results/">

A big applause to the following 26 NLRS members who submitted their scores: 
KM0T, W0GHZ, W0ZQ, W9FZ/R, K0SHF, KT8O, KC0LBT/R, N0KP, KB9PJL, KA0PQW, N0AKC, 
W0JH, K0AWU, W0AUS, W0OHU, N0KQ, K0SQ, N0MK, W9RAY, KC0HEW, N0UK, WB0LJC, 
KB0THN/R, KB0TZA, W0KF,  and K0KFC.

Due to this effort the NLRS moved up two places in the affiliated club 
competition from 6th place last year to 4th place this year !   The average NLRS 
club score was 32, 058 points and the mid point is around 10,000 points (half the 
submitting club members had scores above 10,000 and half were below 10,000).  
 The largest NLRS club score was 259,675 points and the smallest was 640 
points.   

In the Single Op low power category, hats off to the following stations for 
these efforts:
KT8O for 130 2m qso's 14th best in the nation, 78 432 qso's tied for 6th best 
in the nation, 14 222 grids tied for 8th best in the nation, and 16 432 grids 
tied for 7th best in the nation.
N0KP for 48 222 qso's tied for 13th best in the nation and for 14 222 grids 
tied for 8th best in the nation.
K0SHF for 12 902 qso's tied for 7th best in the nation, 26 1296 qso's tied 
for 9th best in the nation, 7 902 grids tied for 3d best in the nation, and 9 
1296 grids tied for 4th best in the nation.
KA0PQW for 37 6m grids tied for 11th best in the nation.

In the Single Op high power catagory, hats off to the following stations for 
these efforts:
KM0T for 53 6m grids 9th best in the nation, 35 2m grids 8th best in the 
nation, 25 222 grids 6th best in the nation, 27 432 grids 6th best in the nation, 
18 902 grids which was the best in the nation, and 21 1296 grids which was the 
best in the nation.
W0GHZ for 14 902 grids for 4th best in the nation and 16 1296 grids tied for 
4th best in the nation.
W0ZQ for 13 902 grids for 5th best in the nation and 13 1296 grids tied for 
6th best in the nation.

Hats off to Mike, KM0T for a 5th place national finish in the SOHP class, 
Lenny, K0SHF for 1st place SOLP finish in the Midwest Region, Eric, KT8O for 3d 
place SOLP in the Midwest Region, and to KM0T, W0GHZ, and W0ZQ for a 1, 2, 3 
finish in the SOHP Midwest Region.   

Lastly, thanks for all the rovers who's roving makes a lot of these top 
finishes possible.   Special note to Gene, N0DQS/R and Bruce, W9FZ/R for their 
first and second place finish respectively in the Midwest Region rover class.

My appologies to any I may have missed, a great job by a great club, 
congradulations all !

PS:   The August UHF contest is around the corner.   Its a great time to rove 
as the contest is short (24hrs as I recall) and you can leave those monster 
6m and 2m beams at home.
