You can probably find numerous mods for these units on the qrz.com web site
or on other ham radio equipment mod sites on the web. And there were a
number of articles in CSVHF & Microwave conference papers from the 90's.

the problem is that all I have is the RS HTX100...... The mod I liked best
removed the speaker of the HTX100 and put the DEMI IF transverter board in
its place. But for 222, you don't even need that much work....
