There are a couple of references on the web you should look at !

specifically about what you're trying to do... and in my opinion should be
read and understood by anyone who plans on putting up VHF/UHF yagi antennas
!

stacking yagis for increased gain, pattern, etc.
As Ian, G3SEK, points out (1st ref. above), a lot of the "old knowledge" is
not good, and should not be relied on.
