Hi all, I sent this email out late last night, but did not see it post. If
it is a dupe, sorry for the bandwidth.

I am working on my first real kit, a DEMI 1/2 watt amp for 5.7 ghz. I am
looking for a reasource for a Fujitsu Gaas Fet, part number FLC053WG.
Anyone out there know where to get them?

I would call Steve at DEMI but hes gone for two weeks...

Now, Im not real experienced at this stuff but according to the
instructions, after the gaafet was installed, one was supposed to use a VOM
to check for shorts to ground from the gate and drain.

The thing that tipped me off is that I have a short between ground and the
drain. No short from gate to ground. Now the source is the package
ground - as it is bolted to the heat sink, and when the chip is out of
circuit, there is a dc short from source to drain as well. All done with a
standard continuity check with my cheepo VOM

Im am not sure that this is normal and a DC short from source to drain is
ok, but perhaps not a rf signal ground path. My knowledge of this has
escaped or left me to be filled with other information like my kids
birthdates, etc :)

Any thoughts and advise appreciated.
