Hello to all NLRS members!
I received the Midwinter Madness flyer this week. I
want to propose we get a table to represent the
society and vhf, uhf and on up to the ham community.
I'm new to HAM radio (1.5 years) but I was lucky to
have gotten to know Lenny ( K0SHF) in the very
beginning of my HAM career.
I'm sure you have heard this before but very few new
or old HAM's know they have the ability to operate in
the microwave bands. This would be a great way to
raise awareness at a minimal dollar expense. I will
volunteer to work the table for the day and contribute
money for the table. We have enough time to collect
pictures and produce a simple brochure to introduce
people to the world above 50 mhz etc. and the NLRS.
Lenny and Gary have expressed interest in helping out
at the table.
Let us brainstorm and we could do 10 gig demo? the
skyes the limit hi hi!!!
Cheers, Russ de KC0LMS
