Mike,
I have purchased .141 from DigiKey in the past, but couldn't find it in the
catalog just now. I tend to buy it at CSVHF/Microwave Update... not new,
but OK.
Digi-key has E.F. Johnson connectors that I've used for years. They use
the .141 center conductor as the center contact. Easy to install, cheap,
readily available.
The ones I have are E.F. Johnson part number 141-0281-006. However, when I
plugged that into the Digi-key web page (www.digikey.com), it returned
142-0694-xxx, where xxx is:
-011 for gold, @ $1.29/1, $1.13/10, $0.98/50
-016 for nickel, @ $0.89/1, $0.784/10, $0.6738/50 (I use the nickel).
The Digi-key part number is J486-ND for nickel,
If you follow the Technical/Catalog Information link, and then Datasheet,
you get a NICE datasheet with info on ALL of Johnson's SMA connectors.
This includes VSWR at any frequency (a formula); insertion loss (a
formula); breakdown for several cable types; etc. Its worth the trip just
for the datasheet!
Hope this helps for you.
