If anyone is looking for a dish, the Skydeals company below has the
standard size DSS dish for $22 plus sales tax and shipping from Apple
Valley. These are the Dish Network style dishes with the large D-tube feed
arm. I don't know if they have any larger dishes.

If you want a bigger dish, MCM Electronics carries three dishes at 24",
30", or 36". All are offset feed but there is no indication of the dish
weight. The interesting thing is that all three dishes are around $60. It
looks like they are all D-tube feed arms as well. They also sell rigid
plastic covers to protect the dish and feed from weather. Might be good for
a tower mounted system..... Just do a search for "dish antenna".

If your dish came with a DSS LNB it may be worth modifying to use as the
feed for your 10 GHz system. There is some discussion of "how-to" on the
microwave reflector. Lee has been doing a little playing with the Primestar
dish and feed.

The question of building feed horns for all that new 10 GHz equipment came
up at breakfast. Bob W0AUS and Donn WA2VOI were both OK with doing another
feed horn work party after it warms up a bit..... Until then you can go to
Paul Wade's web page, measure your favorite dish, then calculate the feed
horn dimensions to suit. The problem with this option is to come up with a
coax to wave guide transition. There are certain very real advantages to
modifying the DSS feed horn, particularly if it only needs an SMA connector
to complete.....

Thank's to Jon for ordering the DB6NT kits. Now I have a project for
evenings next week.....
