Hi John. I have not checked the freq of the 222 beacon for a while ....
its around 222.061 to 222.062. If you have not already, my
recommendation is that you obtain a frequency counter .... the exact freq
of crystals osc. are dependent on many variables. You can use the counter
to put yourself on freq for your skeds.

W0ZQ/B is supposed to be 222.0616 according to the NLRS website.
When I toggle between USB and LSB it seems to be centered in frq at
28.063.04 MHz. Is that the zero beat? Clue me in here folks.
Can I assume that the amount that I am off freq will be linear?
97*2+28=222
MHz
Here is my math:
222.0616 - 28.063=193.9986
193.9986 / 2=96.96.9993
My Crystal is not 97MHz.... it really appears to be 96.99
So if I want to be tuned to 222.120 MHz I would actually be reading:
28.121.40 MHz
Ok how is my math? Am I ready to try this out? I feel pretty dumb for not
knowing this type of stuff.
