What a great weekend of microwave across the lake.... Many thanks to =
the guys who worked very hard to run the North Shore....great =
Qs....great signals (better than I hoped for).... and great fun!
I left the party early (about noon) on Sunday, but managed to work 161 =
Qs before leaving....don't have any estimate of score as =
yet....certainly blew away the score from running the North Shore last =
year.
The highlite for me was both the good conversations at dinner/breakfast =
plus the experience of hearing both ends of the QSOs between the North =
Shore teams and those on the North Wisconsin coast... apparently due =
to the dispersal effect of the ducting...or possibly scatter. Our =
location was near perpendicular to the actual path between those points. =
Signals heard were S1-2, but clearly audible.
Collected some interesting relative signal strength data on each =
participant from each site. Looking forward to how it correlates with =
Donn's weather observations... I'll put together some data to share =
with all at the next breakfast...
Again, thanks to all who made it a fun weekend!
