Hi Gang,
I ran across some round stickers produced by AVERY the other day and thought
I'd try printing the NLRS logo on some to apply to my QSL cards. Since I
still had several hundred cards in the box, I wasn't about to have new cards
printed with the NLRS logo yet. These stickers were 1 1/2" in diameter and
just about right to fit in the corner of my cards. There were 80 of this
particular sticker, #3112, which came as part of a "variety pack" which
additionally contained 36 - 2 1/2" round stickers and 36 - 2 1/2 square
stickers. It took a bit of time to calibrate my printer so that it would
center the logo on the sticker. I never did get it exactly on the money so
in the end I displayed the logo in "Paint" and blacked in the area
surrounding the logo so that when I printed it with the AVERY s/w there were
no slivers of "white" on one side or the other. After a bit of tinkering I
managed to center the logo on the sticker and began producing some rather
reasonable stickers for my cards. If you'd like to see the results of my
blundering around, go to: http://www.qsl.net/w0lcp/ and click on the link
at
the very bottom of the page.
If you'd like to give this a shot, you can download Avery Design Pro at
www.avery.com I have the logo file with the surrounding area blacked out
and available to anyone who wants a copy. I don't know whether the #3112
size sticker is available outside the "variety pack" but I would expect so.

Bud
