Here are the current Northern Lights Radio Society "States Above"
standings. Welcome to a new NLRS member and a new States Above player
Eric, KT8O.
It would appear that while the northern latitudes provided for some punk
September contest conditions, it was not so true in the corn belt as KM0T's
totals jump from 78 last month to 130 this month. Those 5 States on 10 GHz
from EN13 looks really nice Mike !
Although the aurora season has been a bit slack, aurora does peak in late
September. Keep those beams north. In addition, August, September and
October are the peak tropo months, so there still is time left to add to
your states totals. Don't forget the new rule change that allows Canadian
Provinces to count like States ... keep track of those VE's that you work.
Remember that the objective of this CSVHF Society sponsored event is to
promote activity in the world above 50 MHz. Work 30 or more states +
provinces, submit your score to Bruce at the conclusion of the event, and
receive a nice looking certificate. Full rules and forms for this
operating event can be found at www.csvhfs.org, or just ask.
For those NLRS club members who have thought about jumping in, now is the
time !
